Portuguese island about 300 miles off the North West coast of Africa. Sub-tropical, rises 6,000 ft (1800m). African Lillies grow wild beside the road, like weeds. For a map showing the location click the small globe next to the "Widgets" tab.

Taken from one end of the Black Mountain, a place on the Offa's Dyke path called Hay Bluff, 677m (2,200ft) looking from England, over the border into Wales. The bluff is a 275m (900ft) sheer drop so it's a natural place for paragliders and hang-gliders.
